Women’s Self Defense Class
WHEN: Saturday, March 23 from 10AM-12PM
WHERE: Georgetown Peabody Library, 2 Maple Street, Georgetown, MA
This is a class that is designed for you to learn how to protect yourself when faced with uncomfortable situations and how to avoid them in the first place. The class is taught by John Kotch, a black belt instructor originally trained in Isshin-Ryu Karate. The instruction will include techniques used by various martial arts styles, military and law enforcement for the singular purpose of personal, self-defense. The following will be covered: improving self-awareness; hand and foot techniques; hold-breaks, ground techniques and basic weapons defense.
This is an active participation activity so please dress appropriately. Participants may choose to just observe if so desired.
Please Note: High School students are permitted to attend, but must sign a waiver if under 18 years of age.
