Wenham Train Donations Event

Dear Editor, Friends and Supporters,
Thank you to all those who donated trains to the Wenham Museum over this past year. We had fantastic response to our earlier e-mails seeking donations, which has been a tremendous benefit to the Train Room.
If you are cleaning out your garage or attic this fall and have trains, please think of the Wenham Museum. We are always seeking model trains, toy trains, or wooden railway pieces like Brio, Thomas, and others. These items are used day-to-day in museum operations or are resold to benefit the Train Room and new exhibitions and programs.
We are especially interested in model trains, tracks & accessories from all gauges and manufacturers—even if you’re not sure they are in good working order. We are also interested in Brio/wooden railway track, buildings, accessories, and trains. Buildings, accessories, and wooden trains from “Thomas and His Friends” are also in high demand, as many characters are retired and new Thomas trains retail for over $25 each.
Railroad memorabilia from “real” trains is also of interest to us. This could include advertisements, tickets, time tables, lanterns, signage, and other similar items.
If you have these items lingering in your home, consider donating them to the Wenham Museum where they can have a second life bringing joy and happiness to many children and visitors throughout the year.
Please bring your donations to the museum during regular business hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m.). We kindly ask that you do not leave them outside our facility before or after hours.
With thanks,
Rob Flanagan, Train Curator
