REGIONAL – The Essex Agricultural Society, which operates the Topsfield Fair, has awarded 34 college scholarships this year, many of them to graduates from North Shore schools.
Most of the scholarships are for $1,000 and are paid to the college during the second semester.
The recipients this year are Olivia Bartholomew of Merrimac, who graduated from Pentucket Regional High School; Ryan Bonia of Georgetown, who graduated from Georgetown High; Riley Bucco of West Newbury, Pentucket; Emerson Clark of Topsfield, Masconomet Regional; Taylor Dickison of Groveland, Pentucket; Nicholas Forestell and Riley Gilmore of Newburyport, Newburyport High; Alina Hlazkova of West Newbury; Pentucket; Braeden McDonald of Newbury, Triton Regional High School; Evan Napolitano of Groveland, Pentucket; Avry Robinson of Amesbury, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Tech School; Kyle Ventola of Groveland, Pentucket, and Alex Yablin of Newburyport, Pingree School.
The Topsfield Fair at 207 Boston St. in Topsfield will be held from Sept.29 to Oct. 9.
