REGIONAL – For programs and services that meet the needs of the vision impaired, improve their quality of life, and enable them to live an independent and productive life, the Greater Newburyport Fund for the Blind (GNFB) is accepting grant applications for up to $5,000 from non-profit organizations and charities.
Applications must be submitted online by no later than May 5. Grant proposals that are incomplete or late will not be considered in this grant round, but may be considered on a rolling basis.
The GNFB is a Field of Interest Fund at the Essex County Community Fund that supports Greater Newburyport residents living with blindness or progressive loss of sight. Grants are provided to nonprofits and charitable organizations (such as schools, libraries and senior centers) for programs and services aimed at improving the quality of life and empowering people with vision impairments.
In Amesbury, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury and West Newbury, applicants must represent qualified 501(c)3 non-profit groups or other charitable organizations that offer high quality programs for Greater Newburyport residents with blindness and progressive sight loss.
