National Wildlife Refuge Great Bay Walkabout

The National Wildlife Refuge Great Bay Walkabout will be held Saturday October 16th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This is a special event to celebrate the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Week.

Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge encompasses over 1100 acres of beautiful New Hampshire forests, fields, and shoreline. Visitors will be welcome to explore, on foot, certain areas of the refuge that are normally closed to the public. You’ll be able to enjoy expansive views of Great Bay from Woodman Point. Because it is an active hunting area, the wearing of blaze orange is highly encouraged. Keep in mind there is no drinking water available though restrooms are available at the parking lot. No bikes and no pets allowed. NO preregistration for this event; simply show up! For directions to the refuge visit:
