Newburyport Public Library hosts Nature in Our Backyard (VIRTUAL)

Bill Gette of Mass Audubon will discuss wonderful local areas that are less traveled – places where you can relax and contemplate the natural world. He will describe several Essex County Greenbelt (ECG) properties, walking trails along deserved country roads in West Newbury and Groveland, and saltmarsh areas in Rowley. Bill will show photos of beautiful wildflowers, mammals, and many species of birds, both resident species and spring migrants that are returning to our area to nest. He will also present detailed maps, so that attendees can explore these exciting areas on their own.
